Out of curiousity though, when do you think the GTA VI trailer is releasing? And when do you think the game itself will be releasing? Its pretty clear you are just a massive GTA fanboy and disregard everything else R* do as a company anyway. I doubt they've even got all the voice actors and such ready yet. Of course, its entirely possible that they were already brainstorming ideas for GTA VI several years ago, but in terms of actually startting production of the game, they are very much in the earliest stages. There is simply almost 0 chance that is possible. There is just now way R* are making content for GTAO, RDR2, RDO and GTA VI (couple with GTA VI Online) at the same time. Why didnt you mention R*'s latest releases? That being GTA in 2013 followed by nothing for 5 years, and then RDR2 in 2018.Įven if they started making GTA VI before RDR2 was released, the earliest they would have started that would have been 2017. Sure its not as big as GTA, but they still put as much effort into it as they did GTA.Īlso going by your timeline of things. Also you didn't mention the Rockstar Studios approach that they want to take with their games nowadays.Īre you comparing games back in the early 2000's to now? LOL games back then could be rolled out every year if they really wanted, they were easy to produce and much smaller compared to what we have today. R* started pre-production for Redemption after Revolver's release (remember that Old West Project teaser?). Why are we even comparing games such as those to games that come out nowadays? They're vastly different in size and scale. LCS and VCS were mainly done by R* Leeds. Plenty of work was already done on Revolver by Angel Studios before Take-Two bought them and they became Rockstar San Diego. Clearly they take more time to make RDR games, their B games that make as much money as Witcher made (or as little, when you compare it to GTA series). I mean maybe not necesserily nothing, but not as much as you make them to mean. Look at previous GTA vs RD games releases. You don't plan something you are not actually thinking of finishing.Īgain, read what I said in this post above. Making ideas about it means it's in the work. Red Dead was always their B game, it has nothing to do with GTA development, when will people learn this? Then we had LCS and VSC around 2006, GTA IV in 2008, EFLC in 2010 and the next Red Dead game came out in 2010 (while the engine was already made). So? Red Dead Revolver came out in 2004, months before GTA SA.
